The farm is in the heart of ‘The Garden of England’ and the centre of one of the last remaining pockets of fruit country left in the UK. A thick belt of sandstone lies just below the soil and whilst the shop and blueberry field behind lie on acidic soil, the rest of the farm is alkaline.

We are Alastair Jessel and Mark Phillips and whilst Alastair does the sales and marketing, Mark does the farming. We have a lovely team consisting of Sally (shop manager), June and our part timers Claire, Kate, Gill, Joanna, Georgina and Guy who work behind the tills, Maxine and Ross back in the office and Nigel who is our plantsman and general toiler in the fields, aided by his wife Marion.
Janice and Stella are making the ice cream and sorbet.
Farmhouse Ice Cream always welcomes visitors so if you would like to watch our ice creams and sorbets being made, please make an appointment to see us. Everything is made and packed lovingly by hand....
